We beat pV after a VERY interesting game with a final score of
10-10 wining by frags 872-752. We played two games, one on their server, one on ours
of CTF3(The Smelter). The first game was played by Cocoapuff, Elektro, Slicker and
Thanatos...from the very start it was obvious that we were a little shaky. We
couldn't hold onto techs, and we were not playing as a team. At about the 15min mark
we started to pull together when we were at a stand off at 4-0, we each had the other
teams flag. Thanatos was nice and happy back in base loaded w/ Auto-Doc, but then it
happened =) Thanatos blew himself up! *whoops* =) From there it got a
little ugly but luckily it ended relatively soon after. The second game was played on our
server, and we decided to swap Jeffrey(a HPB) for Slicker(who was playing as a LPB).
We were able to get the first PS(we are red base) and we had it from there on out,
I think pV may of got one or two PS the whole game. By the end of the map we had
both quads timed...red and blue base so our FC would have their quad for the trip back to
our base. We had the score 10-0 with about a min left, when Thanatos Drops out of
the blue base, grabs the flag and starts to head home...jumpin,
running, spinning...CAP! Wait, where's the sound? *HE NEVER HAD THE
FLAG* hehehe, Doh! Well next Jeffrey comes though w/ his HPB Power give it a
shot...grabs the flag and starts to head home...jumpin,
running, spinning...BAM! Gets killed right by the flag, and Elektro kills all
the guys(3 of'em) about a split second later w/ a 8x super shotgun. heheh, oh
well..we still won by frags =)
In other news we have a
bunch of VC'ers going to K9-CON, we have about 6 for
sure so far, its gonna be a blast, a full weekend of LAN games =P. ES will be there,
DeathRow, Abuse(DM Clan) and Ultraviolence just to name a few, you can check out their
page for a full list of attendees.
Elektro went ahead and
setup our new message
board, so far its only linked off the hub, but will be added to our menu on the left
relatively soon. Anyone and everyone feel free to post messages =)
Oh, another thing, we
dropped out of the OGL "League" not the ladder a few weeks back, just a FYI.
